However, they do seal fairly well and have a nice latch to keep them closed. The built-in thermometer seems to be accurate enough and the vents on the top and bottom of the smoker make it easy to regulate the temperature.
The charcoal pan is a good size and holds enough charcoal for a decent cook. I have used this smoker/grill a handful of times now and have had great results with both smoking and grilling.
