Key West Adventure in the Florida Keys

In This Key West Episode:
During our trip to the Florida Keys, we stop in Key West to explore the island during the day. We start near the Key West Bight exploring the docks, and then work our way toward downtown Key West to rent a golf cart. We catch the Guided Conch Tour Train leaving the Flagler Station full of visitors going out to explore Key West. Then we start walking down the streets of Key West finding small boutique shops, restaurants, and other attractions along the way.Show more

Key West is part of the Florida Keys archipelago. Key West is also Florida's southernmost point, lying roughly 90 miles north of Cuba. Famed for its pastel-hued, conch-style houses, Key West is a cruise-ship stop also accessible from the mainland via the Overseas Highway. Key West and the Florida Keys in general is known more for its coral reefs – destinations for diving and snorkeling – than for its beaches.

Residents and visitors of Key West actively participate in sightseeing, diving, fishing, watersports, hopping by day, and then become part of the sunset celebration held each evening at Mallory Square, when jugglers, musicians and acrobats perform before the sun sinking into the Gulf of Mexico.

At night, Key West streets filled with sidewalk cafes, open-air bars, legendary pubs and world-class restaurants with island specialties. Drama, musicals and comedy flourish on local stages in Key West. The heart of old-town Key West, Duval Street is packed with bars and restaurants boasting live music every night, poolside party spots, along with plenty of novelty shops to browse. Key West is well known for its festive nightlife culture. From low-key pubs to high-energy dance clubs, Key West's nightlife never has a shortage of fun, cocktails or music.
