Oda Sensei is suffering from astigmatism which refractors light in his eye making it blurry.

ok so I actually had my own eye surgery about 10 years ago since I am almost blind one 1 of my eyes + my family is a renowned eye surgery family so lets talks about Oda Sensei issues Astigmatism
and why he needs to go on a 1 month break from working on one piece.

I personally for example similarity where not allowed to do much after I had my eye surgery that was one of the strangest experience in my life, first it was like Akainu punching you in the face and then during the surgery I could still feel the surgeon moving around in my eye but I did not feel any pain, especially my sense of hot vs cold was still accurate and I could feel the cold sension of the instruments inside my eye, after the surgery I was not allowed to basically leave my house, not allowed to drive, exercise etc for 2 weeks and I was basically completly blind on 1 eye for about 3 weeks, in this weird like blurry white cloud thing covering my eye so I can see why Oda cannot work for a few weeks after a similar eye surgery.
