Alexei Navalny is a prominent figure in Russian politics and activism. He is known for his role as a Russian lawyer, anti-corruption activist, and politician, and has gained international recognition as one of the most prominent critics of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Throughout his career, Navalny has organized street protests, exposed corruption in the Russian government and business, and utilized social media platforms like LiveJournal and his RosPil website to raise awareness.

He has been associated with political parties like Yabloko and has also launched his own movement, the National Russian Liberation Movement

In 2020, he fell into a coma after suspected poisoning and was later treated in Germany.

Navalny has faced legal challenges in Russia, including a request by prison authorities to replace his suspended sentence with a real jail term

Overall, Alexei Navalny's activism and political involvement have made him a significant figure in Russian society and politics. He is currently in a high security Russian prison.
