Members of the Lethbridge Sport Council, Tourism Lethbridge and the Enmax Centre are heading out to Richmond B.C. for the Sport Events Congress.

The initiative is meant to help promote Lethbridge as a hosting city for future sporting events along with making connections with event rights holders.

In 2022, Lethbridge hosted the Tim Horton’s Brier which generated more than $16.8 million dollars in economic activity for our city.

Tanya Whipple, the communication manager for the Lethbridge Sport Council said hosting these events in the city helps tick off two major items on the organization’s checklist.

The Sport Events Congress will run from June 6th to the 8th and will bring together more than 400 national and provincial sport industry professionals together.
