Oak Hill Church of Christ preaching minister, Randy Sterling, delivers a message on the peace that comes with realizing that God's love is not covered by our mistakes.

People all have limits. No matter how kind or compassionate they may be, or how accepting, they all have a point where their patience has been exhausted. Sometimes, this can be a good thing, but for sinners in need of a loving God, it can be terrifying.

How can such a powerful, perfect being tolerate any level of our failure? How can we remain in the presence of such a towering, beautiful emblem of perfection? Such thoughts can often lead us to abandon hope for God's concern for us.

Thankfully for sinful man, part of God's perfection includes freedom from the compulsion to behave like a flawed human being. Those who come to God, repentant of their sinful behavior, desiring to make a return to His path will not be turned away.

God knows that His children will make mistakes. He knows that they will fail in their struggle to become better than their sinful nature. God in His grace and love invite the flawed, penitent man to renew his efforts.

If you have made mistakes in your life, and you are hiding away from God because you are afraid to hear Him reject you, take heart. God hasn't been turning away from you, He has been lovingly and patiently awaiting your return. Reconcile with your Father in Heaven and walk in His ways.
