There are 8 standard yarn weights you should know about when taking on either knitting or crochet!
0 - Lace
1 - Super Fine
2 - Fine
3 - DK
4 - Medium
5 - Bulky
6 - Extra Bulky
7 - Jumbo
When you're just starting out, I recommend a 4 weight acrylic because it's easier to see and are less expensive.
