For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Tim 2:5 There is no mention of popes in the Scripture. Once we are born-again, we are all a kingdom of priests. Purgatory is a heresy that came into the Roman Catholic church during the reign of Pope Gregory around the end of the 6th Century. It has no Scriptural support. Jesus warned us about this pagan practice in Mt 23:14. Communion, as practiced in the Catholic church, is the belief that the host (bread) and the wine, is the literal transforming of Christ's body and blood each time it is taken. This is known as transubstantiation and is not Biblical. Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of Me." We all have mixture that needs eradicating from our lives so the fulness of the Godhead will be more deeply embedded in us. This topic is, for some, is part of that mixture.
