What's wrong with Chicago? Cashless Bail - Ep#8
1 year ago
10
On January 1, 2023, Illinois will end cash bail for most crimes, including several high-grade felonies. The law makers who introduced and passed the legislation claim their goal is to eliminate bail for low-income offenders who often remain behind bars while only “wealthy” offenders walk free. The result? This will be another, and substantial, attack on the rule of law and civil society. In the never-ending pursuit of utopian equity, the radicals who only see skin color, race and protected classes will ensure more violent criminals remain on the streets and Illinois residents are needlessly placed at greater risk of being victims of violent crime.
