Deadly Train Crash in India's Odisha State Claims at Least 261 Lives
A train crash involving three trains in India's Odisha state has resulted in at least 261 fatalities and 650 injuries. The crash occurred when a passenger train derailed and collided with an incoming train on an adjacent track, which was stationary. Another train subsequently hit the overturned carriages.
The cause of the crash, the worst in India this century, is still under investigation. The rescue operation has been concluded, and efforts to restore the crash site are underway.
