I've purchased a few different hand warmers in the past and absolutely love this one! Used it for 2 days in a row- lasting more than 15 hrs! Sent friends a link to the product because I love it so much!
Conceptually, I loved it. The packaging and product look great, but I never used it. My use is for inside ski gloves liners with pockets for hand warmers.
(see picture). These were to replace the disposable kind, which work well but are wasteful and expensive if you forget to buy them before going to the ski slopes.
Others might buy them for watching a sporting event outside. For watching a sporting event, they are just silly. Gloves or mittens are a far more efficient option and warm your whole hand and wrist if they include gauntlets.
You dont have to hold anything with gloves or mittens, so your hands are still useable. Replacing traditional disposable warmers, my purpose, was something I seriously wanted them to do.
I use warmers almost every day that I ski because of medical needs. These are just too heavy and too fat to replace the traditional disposable hand warmers.
Even though I size up in my ski gloves so that I can fit a liner in the gloves, this extra bulk made it impossible to put the liners in the gloves. The weight is three times the traditional disposable warmers.
That isnt a ton of weight, but when you consider the care that is put into keeping the weight of ski poles down, and the fact that arms and hands are always working, usually raised and or stretched out or moving in one direction or the other, they were too much and just not as good as the traditional product that they were replacing.
Maybe this product can be redesigned, lighter and thinner. Until then, stick with HoitHands or their various competitors.
These things are great. They are compact, so i keep one in each pocket. The lock together so they are easy to store and not misplace 1 of them. The charge lasts super long (long enough to get beyond a few round of golf in my experience.
I keep these things handy when i go on hikes w/ the kids as well...
I’ve used these for over a month now and they’re fantastic. The charger is fantastic because you can charge both units at the same time. I didn’t realize it when I bought these, but they can link to each other to make a double sided hand warmer.
Great option, especially for those that work in an office that seems to always be really cold!
My hands get extremely cold especially one of them that was burned and has nerve damage. These warmers help big time. Takes maybe a minute or two to warm up but once they do they get really warm.
I also work in a garage so I keep them in my coat pocket and when I need to warm my hands up my pockets are extremely warm. Definitely recommend
As a first time buyer for "Rechargeable Hand Warmers", I did my homework/ spent time reading a majority of reviews on products where an acceptable amount of reviews are available.
I mostly avoid products with limited to none Reviews. On this occasion it really payed off!!!$$$!!! To keep it short in comparison this product stood out for good reviews given by a good number of random verified buyers.
No one had anything bad to say.
In the sea of others where the bad reviews ranged from mostly: "does not deliver on the advertised amount of hours it will operate", to complaints about thermostat problems "Inconsistent temperature changes", and problems with battery charger indicators".
