"Jane Eyre" is a novel written by the British female writer Charlotte Brontë, and it is an autobiographical work. The novel tells the story of the orphan Jane Eyre, whose parents died since she was a child, and she was fostered by her aunt's house, where she was abused and was sent to Lowood Academy (Lowood School) by her aunt. The environment of Lowood College was harsh, but she survived tenaciously. Two years after graduation, Jane was hired to work as a tutor to make a living. The owner Rochester is melancholy and moody, but after a long time of contact, Jane finds that Rochester is kind-hearted, upright and resolute, and she gradually develops feelings for him. When they held their wedding in the church, Jane painfully discovered that Rochester had a crazy wife, Bertha Antoinette Mason. Jane leaves sadly. Later, her uncle John Eyre, who had been separated from her for many years, died of illness and bequeathed a huge amount of property to her. Unable to forget her love for Rochester, she went back to her hometown, only to find out that the mad woman had set fire to her death a few months ago. Rochester had one eye smashed out to save her, and the other eye was inflamed and blind. Jane immediately went to pour out her feelings to him, and the two finally formed a happy relationship. Later, Rochester healed one eye in London and gave birth to a boy with Jane Eyre.
