Chakli is a popular Indian snack made from a dough of rice flour, gram flour, and spices. It is shaped into spiral coils and deep-fried until golden brown. Chakli is a crunchy and flavorful snack that is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

1 cup rice flour
1/2 cup gram flour
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon carom seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Oil, for deep frying
Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients except for the oil.
Mix well to form a dough.
Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them into thin ropes.
Cut the ropes into 1-inch pieces.
Using a chakli press, press the dough pieces into spiral coils.
Fry the chakli in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Drain the chakli on paper towels and serve immediately.
Tips:

For a spicier chakli, add more red chili powder.
You can also add other ingredients to the dough, such as chopped nuts or vegetables.
Be careful not to overcrowd the pan when frying the chakli, or they will not cook evenly.
Chakli can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
