One of the more interesting and large underground complexes of the West wall was originally dug into a mountain side intended for the German High Command West.
Its construction was kept a great secret and little if know from it, but after the area was liberated by Patton, and the French was persuaded to not blow it up. It eventually made its way on the roster of NATO command centers, and revamped for that purpose. Eventually they out-grew the complex, but maintained it until the mid 1990ties. and 20 some year later somebody gave me the key...

So now I can take you through this twice secret place and do a little exploring, and eventually got myself lost.
