Premier Mark McGowan (aka Chairman MaoGowan) was attending the City of Joondalup Business Forum at Joondalup Resort and activists from the group Pro-Choice Joondalup had organised a protest and gave him the warm communist welcome he deserved. It was reported that during Chairman MaoGowan's keynote speech at the business breakfast he mentioned the protest three times and stated that he was "rattled".

This video has been uploaded on the first anniversary of the first 'Chairman MaoGowan' protest which took place on Thursday 2nd June 2022. One year later on the anniversary week of this protest, Premier Mark McGowan stepped down citing exhaustion, his last day in office being Friday 2nd June 2023 – the day this video was uploaded. One year on, MaoGowan is gone!
