Little Mermaid - Just Hate Bait

Black Ariel & The Little Mermaid finally splashed into theaters after years of delays and just weeks after Queen Cleopatra blackwashed history. This live-action remake of The Little Mermaid took "artistic liberty" with its portrayal of Ariel, choosing to make her black rather than stick to the white version found in the original animated movie and the original Danish folktale. But cultural appropriation is perfectly cool if you're taking from the right cultures! The Little Mermaid also continues the Ginger Genocide, replacing most redheaded characters with a black character in live-action. So, other than all that AND having to sit through Awkwafina's portrayal of Scuttle, is there anything else to really be mad about with this HateWatch?
