Dear Pastor Bob: What does the Bible have to say about married couples living with their in-laws?  Shouldn’t a married couple live on their own? I am a recently married man, and I am living with both my wife and my mother-in-law. The reason is because she has several health issues and she is also getting up there in age, though she is still quite functional with many things.  She can cook, drive, do laundry, garden, etc.  But she has several other limitations that would make it difficult for her to live on her own. This is easier on my wife than it is for me. I fully understand why she is with us and I have no problem with it. If my own mother had severe health issues I would want her to stay with us so we can keep a close eye on her. So I respect my wife’s feelings on this and I do my best to support her. However, it has been a bit challenging for me at times. We have a fairly small house, and it has been a bit tricky establishing simple boundaries. I do love my mother-in-law and she is a lovely God-fearing Christian woman. I was curious if you had any pointers you could give me that may be of help?

Today's Scripture:
Ephesians 5:33
