Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Volume 5: Scarlet Showdown - Manga Review

Welcome to my review of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Volume 5 by Hiro Mashima and Atsuo Ueda. This was another great volume which started with Natsu being reunited with Zeref, Mavis, Larcade, August, and Igneel in the Spiritual Heaven. They all gave Natsu a nice pep talk so that he get back out there and finish his fight against Reiss. There was also a nice flashback scene with Makarov showing the connection between Reiss and Fairy Tail. Elsewhere, Cana was apparently unaffected by the White Mage's spell because she had too much to drink. lol I still don't understand how the White Mage's magic works, but that's beside the point. We also learned that Touka (different from the White Mage) is an Exceed. The highlight of this volume for me was seeing Laxus in action, first again Kiria and then against Erza. With Natsu finally face to face with the White Mage, will he fall under her spell as well? Stay tuned for all of that and more in my next review coming soon!
