Lye/Scythe Mowing Compilation May 2023 (No Commentary)

Mowing and clearing up with hand tools. No commentary, just the sound of the tools and the environment.

In some parts of Yorkshire, in particular the East, a scythe was called a lye (or a variation thereof).

I start this video using a style I believe is typical of Eastern Europe and Russia, before moving to my version of a "Swedish" style after 9:36.

If anyone knows more precise/definite names for the styles I'd be interested to know.
