In a cruiserweight slugfest at #BYB17 in Rock Hill, Maurice Morris knocked out Harris Aiken in the first round.

Maurice Morris was excited about the knockout win in his bare knuckle debut: "I knew it was coming. I put in the work in this camp, I grinded harder than ever. The punch landed clean on his chin. Once he got up, he didn't have his legs under him and his head was woozy. I knew the fight was over with."

Stepping into the Trigon against a late replacement opponent didn't faze him at all: "I train at OxFitness and Top Tiger Team, we prepare for this. We got two top bare knuckle fighters in the world here. I'm prepared for whoever, whenever, however they come in."

Maurice Morris has been in back-to-back training camps since his first amateur fight 15 months ago: "I never stopped training. Since then, I fought sometimes two times a month. I fight, celebrate that night and the next day, and then I'm back in training camp."

Morris was thrilled to perform in front of his home crowd: "It feels great! When I walked out, the crowd went crazy. My fan base, the South Carolina and North Carolina fan base is the best in the world, man."

This is how he describes the sensation of bare knuckle fighting: "You feel the shock in your fist when you connect. You feel every crevice in that fist when they touch you. I possess so much power that with gloves, you might be able to take one or two of them. But in Bare Knuckle, I touch you and you are going to sleep."

This is how he describes his fighting style: "I'm a wrestler mostly. I'm a national championship wrestler and a 4x state champion wrestler. I'm just a brawler, I'm a grinder, I like to get ugly. I could stand with the best in the world. I'm down to fight you however. Jiu jitsu, wrestling, boxing, bare knuckle, MMA. You tell me the rules and we can do it now."

Morris is convinced he will become a world champion: "I want to be the best in the world. I'm going to be a champion real soon. Just keep tuned and watch me. Y'all give me the world champion. I'm here to make money. I got three kids."
