Remember The Lord (Memorial Day Message), Deuteronomy 8
Memorial Day began after the Civil War to honor the fallen soldiers by decorating their graves. While the who, what, and where of the holiday’s origin is not totally clear, it was declared an official national holiday and now observances are held nationwide. As we honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country, we also want to consider what all of us can do not only to honor the veterans but continue to maintain the freedoms and principles they fought for. One of the greatest ways we can do that is, as we are remembering them, to also, "Remember The Lord.”
This message was taped during the morning service on May 28, 2023, and edited for broadcast for the week of June 4, 2023.
