How much does it cost to build a DIY tiny house like my A-frame getaway cabin? The plans I used say it can be done for $2000, but that was a few years ago. This video walks through what it costs today.

I'll break down what I spent on basic construction materials, including lumber, hardware (nails, screws, joist hangers, etc.), windows, doors, and general supplies (paint, stain, etc.) versus optional upgrades that added to my total spend.
