Another Day — My PTSD at It's Worst [EXPLICIT!]

Hello, and thank you for watching "Another Day" in the life of someone with a Post-Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI). This poem documents the effects of PTSD on my life at a time when I couldn't imagine a better life.

This was one of my days back in the Spring of 2019 when I was deep in the grips of PTSD and felt that there was no way out. I thought no one understood. How could they? I didn't understand the beast and the effects of PTSD, where he came from, or how to stop him from showing up and staring through my eyes.

Well, that was until one day when I knew, one way or the other, I couldn't and didn't want to go on as I was. That's when I reached out, and what I found were some of the most incredible people who did and do understand. While every one of their stories was unique to them, the tragedy was the same. And, it was these people who helped me, help myself.

So, if you or someone you know may be struggling with the effects of PTSD, please know that you are not alone. Please know that others do understand and care. Please know that there is help available. It isn't easy, and it is possible to feel better, even if a little bit.

In spite of what you may feel, you DO deserve it. So, please reach out. And if you would be so kind, please share this video with those who you feel should know they're not alone.
