So, a petawatt laser would be 10,000 Starshot lasers, so 100 kilometers by 100 kilometers on a side, sucking up the electricity from 200–400 planets. Or it could be a very large pulsed laser, that same size, that only used about 2 megawatts of average electrical power. Roughly the electrical power consumed by 1500 average houses.
