Canada: Feds, N.S. form body to monitor shooting inquiry recommendations – May 31, 2023

Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino speaks with reporters on Parliament Hill, where he announces the federal and Nova Scotia governments are creating a committee to implement recommendations from the Mass Casualty Commission’s final report on the 2020 shooting in the province. Retired appeals court justice Linda Lee Oland will chair the committee.
Mendicino is joined by Sean Fraser, the immigration minister and MP for Central Nova, who comments on the federal government’s ongoing response to the wildfire situation in Nova Scotia.
