Speaking briefly with reporters ahead of the weekly Liberal caucus meeting on Parliament Hill, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responds to questions about the NDP's motion calling on David Johnston to step down as the government's special rapporteur on foreign interference. MPs are set to vote today on the motion in the House of Commons. The motion also reiterates the NDP's call for a public inquiry on foreign interference. The prime minister also comments on Canada's wildfires situation, as thousands of residents across the country have been forced to evacuate their homes.
