Forty years ago a man named Jack Stockdale tried to lure me into a manmade church-planting enterprise that would spread the so-called gospel of "turn or burn" around the world. By the grace of God, He kept me from this. For reasons known only to Him, He sent Stockdale headlong into it—into the maw of the prototypical Beast.
