There’s an ancient debate over the relevance of Heidegger’s politics, or supposed lack thereof. Hundreds of thousands of hours of video commentary and academic conferences have been spent over the question of whether his “pure ontology” is or is not in fact inherently reactionary. At this point we now know the answer. The more important question is why the fuck we’re going to keep reading him anyway.
