FORGING Engine Valve DAMASCUS
1
I've collected a number of scraped valves from various car engines. Valves are mostly utilised within engine cylinders to admit air or expel exhaust gases. As a result, they are generally composed of high carbon steel or stainless steel. I have some high carbon valves that would be ideal for building a Damascus knife. This dagger was titled "Autumn leaf dagger" because the design resembles fallen leaves on the ground in autumn.
