What my practice looks like recently. It’s taken time to learn what yoga means to me, what it is for me, and what it does for me. Offering gratitude to the ancestors of yoga, I can only offer that I stay true to myself and the practice by not getting lost in the likes and views but stay true to its roots.

✨Its history.
✨Its teachers.
✨It’s principals

There are some differences due to how I was taught and adapting my practice to align with who I am without judgement. But a large part of the practice is taking the time to study and learn the names of poses in Sanskrit to honor the practice. It’s also beneficial when traveling and taking classes in other languages because no matter Spanish, English, or French, the Sanskrit words aren’t really gonna change other than some minor pronunciations.

What helps you to stay true to self and honor your practice? Let me know in the comment section below.👇🏾
