Switching Up The Forest Pastured Pork Paddock - Clearing Woods For A New Pen

Last year, we raised our pastured pigs in a section of our wood lot. For this season, we decided that we were going to put our forest pastured pigs on a new piece of land that was fresh and ungrazed. So we had to make some space there.

We didn't want to over work the land on the old piece, and we wanted to put down a pasture mix of grasses so that when we returned them to that paddock in a few years, it would be all set for them. So we also needed to clear the trees there to let light through for the newly planted pasture.

So, out comes the chainsaw, so that I can clear out some of the medium sized brush that would be too big for the pigs to clear, but small enough that we wanted it gone.
