Pigs 101: Choosing An Electric Fence Energizer for Pastured Pigs

Make sure you get the right electric fence energizer for your homestead pastured pig pen. Pig are a lot harder to keep in an electric fence than many other homestead animals, so knowing what fence charger will be best for the fence to keep your hogs in is key. Electric fence training for pigs is important, but your set up is as well.

In this video we will go over some of the key things you should look at when buying a fence energizer. We will also talk about ground rods for your electric fence, and a trick we used to temporarily convert our DC powered fence charger into an AC powered charger, while reserving the ability to use a battery. All these things are important to train your pigs to an electric fence.
