Speaker McCarthy “not sure” what Americans oppose in latest debt limit deal

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said he is “not sure” what aspects of the latest debt limit bill have Americans concerned. “It is the largest savings of $2.1 trillion we've ever had…now, if people are against saving all that money or work reforms and welfare reforms, I can't do anything about it,” Rep. McCarthy told reporters in the Capitol on Tuesday.
