Hi! I'm Karen Ingalls, a therapist in Camp Hill, PA. I have created this video to help people who experience intense emotional reactions to people and situations that they cannot control. This particular video is designed to use whenever you feel sad or hurt. Feelings are facts, and it is important to pay attention to them, but your feelings are not your truth, so it is important not to use them as your means of thinking. Feelings are made to be felt, not to be acted upon! Feel your grief/pain. Don't stuff it! Identify your feelings; validate your feelings; feel your feelings w/o judgment; express your feelings in ways that won't hurt yourself or others; and find a way to let them go when you are finished. Your feelings are your superpower. Use them wisely.
