Their rides for the journey cost a grand total of $300 and predictably come with some rather significant mechanical issues. FOR THE HATERS
- Yes the cars were actually $300, but we did put some work into them.
- The Honda needed a front strut replaced and some other minor things bringing its total to
about $350. However, we did sell the roof racks for $100.
- The PT needed a switch and some fuses, bringing its total to $300.
- We saw an ad for a PT cruiser $500 obo, dashboard didn't work. It hadn't sold in weeks so we
offered $300 cash. When we tested it the lights didn't work, so we talked him down to $200.
We told him what we're doing, and he asked if we had found our second car yet. When we told
him no, he said "do you want that civic for 100 bucks? Just needs a front strut".
- We are aware that by the time we got to Golden we were already well within the Rockies. It
worked better in the video otherwise.
- The cast genuinely had no idea what the challenges were until they read the texts.
- Top Gear? Never heard of her.
