Ignite - Drawing An American Bald Eagle - Colored Pencil Art Video

‘Ignite’ was inspired for Art & Soul of the Magic Valley, an annual art contest held in Twin Falls, Idaho. Spreading 6’ across, the triptych eagle rising from the gold marker embers is true to life size. ‘Ignite’ began as three blank sheets of white paper. Laying down multiple layers of markers and pencils, the eagle spans 1,420 square inches and includes around 1,000 individual feathers.

A lifelong artist, Allison Bryant hopes to convey the magnificence of our national bird - and that of our beautiful nation itself - in ‘Ignite,’ her largest piece to date. With a passion for realism, she primarily uses colored pencils and thousands of strokes in her original artwork, incorporating a level of detail that is slowly being lost in the age of abstract art.
