During the so-called rally line period, the Finnish Film Industry made several films based on the hit. Many of them were based on Tatu Pekkarinen's lyrics, like this one. Their plot content remained very thin.

The singing group Kipparikvartetti does not appear in the film, but their voices are modeled by Actors Aarne Helen, Armas Jokio, Anton Soini and Kalle Viherpuu. Cafe owner Hurma-Jussi is played by journalist Retu Kukkonen, father of sports commentator Anssi Kukkonen.[1]

In the story, the forester Vuoristo (William Markus) pretends to be a lumberjack who charms the women on the construction site. Kalle Viherpuu, who died shortly before the film's premiere, plays the vellum Metku.
