Chip Roy blasts Biden-McCarthy debt ceiling deal as ‘turd-sandwich’

Representative Chip Roy, a conservative Republican from Texas, strongly criticized the preliminary debt deal reached by Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Biden, referring to it as a “turd-sandwich.”

He challenged McCarthy’s assertion that over 95% of the conference was supportive of the deal, pointing out that he was aware of more dissenting voices, The Hill reported.

Roy explained that the lawmakers had not yet fully grasped the unfavorable aspects of the agreement.
