Dear Pastor Bob: I am a soldier in the U.S. Army and am away from my wife so I can't physically comfort her and be there for her when she struggles with the trauma of being raped by her previous pastor. She has shown an interest in returning to Jesus but when she enters a church, the reminders of her previous church and pastor are too great and it's difficult for her to get past this. She wonders why God could allow this to happen, how a supposed man of God (the pastor) could do such a thing and now try to downplay it. How can I help her return to Jesus after such trauma? God tells me he loves her so I know he hasn't given up on her. Thank you so much for your help.
