BUILDING CONFIDENCE

Here's a small clip of Corey's session with our boy, Louie! Whether your dog wants to run towards or away from items like the leaf blower here, the recipe to building their confidence with these items is the same. Work their downstay, and slowly introduce the item while they work the downstay. Give them a task to do while having to be around things that might make them nervous. This is the prerequisite to being able to take them out to socialize in environments you have no control over. The better they are at home, within your relationship, with things that could cause flight or fight responses, the better their confidence will be when you are out together!
