Mono edited to stereo and noise reduced. Dragnet was written by Jack Webb, who also starred as the lead character, Sgt. Joe Friday. The show was based on actual cases from the Los Angeles Police Department, and Jack Webb worked closely with LAPD detectives to ensure accuracy in the show's depiction of police procedures. Sgt. Joe Friday and his partner, Sgt. Ben Romero, investigate cases in each episode.
