Songwriting inspiration

Some song ideas take a really long time to come together. Maybe you have an idea that sticks in your brain, but for some reason you’re not satisfied with where it’s going. I had an idea for a song & felt like it was a dead end & I kinda walked away from it for a year or more & then finally a chorus popped in my head that stuck & it got the song moving again.

I’ve always like rhythmic noise in music & so I used my Elektron Digitakt to sample(record) guitar sounds & played around with using it as part of the guitar riff in my song & I’m digging this vibe. Not super original sounding imo but I’m having fun with it. I’m still trying to give it a strong electronic feel while keeping it a pop rock vibe.
