WE SOLDIER ON-STANDING FAST IN FAITH

This is our memorial weekend in America, and we are remembering and celebrating the heroes, both living and deceased, who have made this country what it is. Because of that, I am remembering our spiritual heroes also that have passed on to us the revelation of this gospel that we love so well.
The apostle Paul developed into one of our most outstanding heroes of faith in the New Testament. He entered the scene as an enemy of the church, organizing the stoning of Stephen, among the first martyr of this brand new thing called Christianity.
He exited the scene as the most prolific writer of the New Testament and one who set the revelation in a solid foundation of who Christ is and why he came to this earth. He stood his ground despite rejection and criticism because he believed in the Holy Spirit's revelation concerning the church.
In the book of Ephesians, six chapters, Paul gives us a list of things we should do to maintain our faith and fulfill that faith that God has given us.
I will compare the Mirror Bible, which I have grown to appreciate these last few years, and the Passion Bible, which dramatically expresses the hidden meanings we miss in our King James.
There is a trait that men have, and I am a witness to it, that we only read the instructions after we mess up the construction. We're also accused of not wanting to look at the map confident that we know where to go. And if you're a married man, your wife has bailed you out many times by reading the map or pulling out the instructions.
A wise man will take Ephesians 6 seriously and read them first for a successful lifestyle.
Today we celebrate the freedom given to us by our forefathers and mothers, who have passed on to us the secrets of success for spiritual victory.
