Day 459 of the war in Ukraine.

Ukraine Stands Firm on Counter-Offensive Conditions Amid Russian Demands

Ukraine's presidential advisor, Mikhail Podolyak, stated that realistic conditions put forth by Ukraine, rather than the fantasies of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are necessary to halt Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine. Podolyak emphasized that the "demands of Russia," as expressed by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, only confirm the legal and factual incapacity of the Russian leadership.

He underscored that Ukraine's realistic conditions include: the immediate withdrawal of all troops from Ukrainian sovereign territory, the definitive recognition that the USSR has dissolved and post-Soviet countries possess full sovereignty, the extradition of war criminals and perpetrators, the establishment of a demilitarized zone (buffer zone) within Russian territory, the reduction of offensive weapons (long-range missiles), an international conference on monitoring Russia's nuclear arsenal, and the legalization of a reparations program, including voluntary relinquishment of seized Russian assets in other countries in favor of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's Head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, affirmed that there will be no negotiations with Russia until Russian occupying forces are withdrawn from Ukrainian territory. The Ukrainian government remains resolute in its position, unwavering in the face of Russian demands and determined to secure the return of territories within its internationally recognized borders.
