In 2012, Dave Mustaine, the frontman of Megadeth, sat down with American talk radio host, actor, and filmmaker, Alex Jones, for a 43-minute face-to-face interview for Infowars.com. Jones described Mustaine as "quite literally the kind of guy who opens doors for old ladies," and Mustaine described himself as "disgusted" with Obama in an interview posted on Jones's website in July.1 Mustaine also talked about his early days in Metallica and Megadeth, his debilitating neck injury, and Megadeth's latest album. Jones' conspiracy rants have been cited as a big influence on the album Endgame.
