Despite the proven harm of plastic, in 20 years its production in the world has doubled to 360 million tons per year, and should triple by 2060, reports France 3. Only 10% of all plastic waste is recycled, which causes great harm to biodiversity and penetrates everywhere in the form of microscopic particles - they are found even in the blood and breast milk.
