15 Relentless Hunting Moments Performed by Snakes

Snakes are deadly predators, and when they target prey, they usually don’t miss. Have you ever seen a snake attack a bat? Do you think snakes get into fights and try to eat each other? If you ant to see how snakes hunt their prey, you’re in the right place, so sit tight, because we’re getting started

Snake VS Bat

This beautifully colored “greenish” snake wraps itself around a bat and easily kills it before it takes its head and begins to swallow it whole. This snake appears to be having a good time chewing on this bat. I can almost see the snake's eyes light up with delight as he tries to swallow the little bat. This is a Yucatan rat snake that has adapted to hunting bats in their roosting caves in central Mexico. Here’s another snake that makes eating bats seem extremely tasty. That’s what I look like when I’m having a veal parmigiana with some bucatini on the side. The only problem is my food goes down way easier than this bat. Those wings are in the way, but hey, this is a snake we’re talking about, so he finds a way to get things done, and after a little trial and error, swallows the bat whole. The expression on this poor bat’s face says it all.

The snake is crushing the animal to death and it’s becoming harder and harder to breathe until the bat dies of suffocation and is eaten by the large reptile. I can’t see the bat in this video, but it’s out there somewhere…ah…there it is, being killed by the snake. I wonder how a creature that wings and flies high up in the air, ends up in the grass, attacked by a snake. Our thumbnail is wicked and cool at the same time. It almost looks like a new kind of snake with wings, as the reptile tries swallowing the small bat whole. The python in this video is seen in a tree, upside down, swallowing a bat whole. The bat must have been ambushed by the snake, or landed right next to it, not seeing it, because of its camouflage. This snake didn't waste any time and immediately swallowed the bat when given the chance. When you see the snake in action, swallowing a bat appears to be more difficult than swallowing other animals. I guess the bat’s wings get in the way.

Snake Preying On Iguana

In the Galapagos islands, snakes eat iguanas, because the islands are loaded with them, especially during breeding season, and the snakes also like to eat their eggs. The marine iguana is the only lizard in the world that can live and forage at sea, and it is only found in the Galapagos Islands. There are eleven very similar subspecies found on various islands, with Isabela and Fernandina having the most, so, between you and me, I’m sure the snakes have crazy parties when they feast on all those reptiles.

Not long after the man filming climbed down from a tree, where he was taking photos of the little iguana and his friend, eating a coconut on a nearby bench, the snake came out and attacked. The man missed the attack, but a Russian couple noticed it and began filming. The snake must have been in the tree while the man was there, but he didn't see it, until after he got down. If I’m on vacation in a country where I know snakes are out there, I’m not climbing any trees, unless there’s a beautiful naked woman hiding in the tree. What you are seeing in this video has never been filmed before! Hatchling marine iguanas are attacked by snakes hunting in large quantities, looking for goodies and they are finding them.
