The Origins of COVID-19

Today we will be discussing a topic that will be very fresh on everyone’s minds: COVID-19. What were the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic? Was it planned from the very beginning? Was it a bioweapon? What are the future implications of it?

Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that cause illness in humans and animals. Seven different types have been found in people:
SARS-CoV-2  -  COVID-19
SARS-CoV     - Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)
MERS-CoV    - Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS)
HCoV-NL63  - Usually mild respiratory illness
HCoV-229E   - Usually mild respiratory illness
HCoV-OC43  - Usually mild respiratory illness
HKU1             - Usually mild respiratory illness
A coronavirus identified in 2019, SARS-CoV-2, has caused a pandemic of respiratory illness, called COVID-19.
