I love how Paul explains to the Jew the predicament he is in when he tries to be joined to the law and to Christ at the same time. This is what he is teaching in Rom.7. And how he offers hope, their "way of escape", from this predicament. From the "body of this death" and from "the sin in my members" through faith in Jesus, no longer joined to the works of the law.
