THE TREAURE mentioned in v. 7- is referring to the Ligh of God's glory see v. 6; EARTHERN VESSELS is referring to our humanity. With the light that shines in and through us, people will truly see that THE POWER IS OF GOD and not of our own. According to the commentary of the Orthodox Study Bible regarding vv. 8-12 - this is victorious, but not trouble free, Christianity. These trials "Show both the power of God and, more, disclose His Grace" (St. John Chrysostom).

Second Epistle Reading - Acts 20:7-12- "The Young man "Eutychus" is Raised"

According to the teachings of St. John Chrysostom, upholds "Eutychus" as an example for all young believers. Because some young people stay up all night for the purposes of sinning and doing immoral activities, this young man however tried desperately to remain awake in order to her St. Paul preach the gospel.
